Today is the start of a new cycle. A time for transition, change and transformation. The leaves will start to fall from the trees as they dance their way to the ground. They themselves understand that in order to become renewed they first need to let go.
Today, the Autumn equinox is equal parts day and night. A balance between the light and dark. It’s a time for growth, grounding and self-reflection. Autumn is always such a special season for me. With each Autumn that comes it always feels like there is a special kind of magic in the air. There is a shift in energy as the light begins to change and Mother Nature is calling me to slow down, to rest and reflect.
There is a beauty in seeing the trees stripped bare, exposing all of who they are in order to grow anew. Reminding us all that to show vulnerability and to strip things back, a beautiful growth with inevitably follow.
Autumn, a time for simplicity and self-compassion… Which reminds me of the beautiful words below…
“Simplicity, patience, compassion.
These three are your greatest treasures.
Simple in actions and thoughts, you return to the source of being.
Patient with both friends and enemies,
you accord with the way things are.
Compassionate toward yourself,
you reconcile all beings in the world.”
~ Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching
