The card that the Universe chose today is Five of Wands. This card is all about TEAMWORK…
Here you see five people waving around their wands, without any regard or care for others. They aren’t meant to be in conflict or in competition with each other, they are meant to be a team. Everyone is trying to express themselves, but no one is actually listening to each other. They are committed to an end-goal, but can’t agree how to get there.
When a team works together it’s an absolute dream, but when they don’t, and there is conflict, it can make trying to get to the same outcome so much more painful.
Teams don’t work when the individual thinks they are right and when they try to work to their own agenda.
Teams successfully work when there is a mutual respect for each other and a common drive towards achieving the outcome.
Different opinions can be really positive! It’s about discussing them in a constructive way. Perhaps through a brainstorming session or meeting.
This card encourages a positive and enthusiastic approach to change and competition. It is time to encourage everyone to use their enthusiasm in a constructive and productive way.
So, this week if faced with a challenging team situation, put down your stick, and work out how you can build together, instead of using the foundation to tear each other apart.
Not everyone will always get along, and that’s ok. But the key this week is to be respectful of others in challenging situations and to try and encourage unity.
Basically, don’t be a jerk to others and if someone is being a jerk to you, summon all the grace in you to not respond with conflict.
The Five of Wands can also represent someone who is taking too much on their plate, or an internal conflict. Perhaps there is a situation that you are torn between or internal conflict in your own mind.
If you are taking on too much and placing too many demands on yourself and are being pulled in too many directions – this is a calling to take care of yourself.
Sometimes we want to take on a lot, but it can get to the point where we are doing so many things, but doing none of them properly.
It may feel hard to admit that you need a hand or that you are overwhelmed, but it is so important to make sure your own physical and mental health are taken care of.
I saw a fantastic quote today that read “I believe that the greatest gift you can give your family and the world is a healthy you.” This is so true!
Make sure this week you take care of yourself and if you feel overcommitted, stretched and overwhelmed, think if there are any things that you are able to set aside for now. Is it pressure that people are putting on you? Or, is it pressure you are putting on yourself?
Are there other people you can lean on for help? We can put so much pressure on ourselves to do EVERYTHING that we forget that there are actually a whole lot of people who are available to help us. Our ‘life team.’ And they are the best kind of team, because they are the team we get to choose.
If there is an internal conflict or you feel torn about something, remember to try and listen to your intuition. It can be important to research and listen to other opinions too, because it is from this that we learn and grow. Even if sometimes we don’t want to hear it, or it is conflicting to what we know or believe. But if these opinions are based on others who have an aggressive conflict nature to them, bring yourself back to your breath, listen to your body and trust your gut - because it’s never wrong.
Wishing you a happy, productive and calm week!
