The Suit of Swords is represented by the element Air – the mind and intellect which is connected, inspired, clear and capable. The Page is jovial in nature, full of freedom and energy to create. What a joy! The Page is the airy part of Air.
You can see in this card that there are clouds, it’s windy and the Page is standing on a slight hill and not fully grounded.
This is an interesting card to reveal itself this week, after the New Moon of last week. During the New Moon we take the time to reflect and daydream on the things we would like to manifest and attract into our lives.
The Page of Swords reminds us that it’s excellent to have things we want to achieve and to be full of dreams and ideas, however, to get to where we want to be, we need to have our head not so far in the clouds and detached from reality and we need to ground ourselves. This can sometimes happen when there is a lot of Spiritual work and connection with our Crown Chakra and we don’t take the time to ground.
It’s a calling to get excited about what it is we want to attract and to not just dream about it, but to actually use our mind and intellect to create a plan of action to achieve these things. The dreaming and the ideas are what make this card so wonderful, so now it’s time to connect ideas to reality.
Have fun with mental activities, do the research, create the plans, learn and grow. Challenge your mind.
It’s also a reminder that there will sometimes be turbulence around us, and it’s in these moments that we need to be mindful and engage in rituals that help to keep our mind clear and our body grounded. This could be in the form of a grounding meditation or yoga session and reminding ourselves that there are lots of things in our lives to be cheery about.
As we are approaching the end of the year this is a great time to not only think about the things we want to create, start or finish this year, but to then use that wonderful intellect to create a plan to make it happen. This will then create a clearer path going forward into the new year.
Wishing you a grounded and clear week ahead.
