THE HANGED MAN...

Ok, THIS card revealed itself in a reading for someone yesterday and I remembered thinking ‘I bet I get you tomorrow’... so, after cleansing the deck and removing that energy, I was interested to see what card revealed itself today. And, here it is! I laughed and thanked spirit for the reveal.

The message for this card is ‘surrender to life with faith that better things are coming.’
Here you see a hanged man, tied up and appearing to be stuck... but look closer, even though he is tied up he is still appearing calm, even at ease. His aura is yellow showing intellectual understanding and calm and a knowing that even while upside down the energy and clarity will still reach his head. The red symbolises endurance and the blue symbolises a clear mind and balanced outlook.
This is a time to reflect on life and actions so far. This situation is what it is... you can either struggle and be quite uncomfortable and stressed, or you can surrender, reflect and use your energy wisely.

This card is a perfect follow on to last week’s card The Emperor, and with the message “Ride the wave of uncertainty, you’ll be surprised at what you might find.” This is a position to release control and be comfortable in a seemingly uncomfortable position that offers a new perspective.

The Hanged Man understands that to struggle in this position will actually serve no purpose. Reflection is actually the best use of energy in this position.
This is a card for remembering your purpose and surrendering to the situation so that you can do what you came into this life to do. By surrendering and being calm you are allowing life to take you to where you need to be. Surrendering is not to say do ‘nothing’, because using your body to embody calm and your mind to activate balance and reflection are all powerful forms of action to self.

It’s a card for independence, and for being who you are truly meant to be.
Life is offering you a time of peace, so take advantage of it.

The thing I love about the tarot is that while a card and its name might appear to be negative or harsh, look deeper and the meaning is something completely different to how it appears. As is exactly the same with life. Situations might present themselves in a negative way, but look deeper and you’ll find the hidden gem it delivers.
